Maralyn Miller to Be Profiled in Exclusive Registry
Cambridge Who's Who takes a closer look at the professional artist, Maralyn Miller
LOS GATOS, CA, June 9, 2009 /Hobby and Crafts PR News/ -- Maralyn Miller, Artist, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of fine arts.
With 40 years of experience as a professional artist, Ms. Miller specializes in Northern California landscape painting. As the owner of her own studio, she is responsible for advertising and marketing her paintings, oil and pastel painting, and painting landscapes, still life and abstracts. She received her first commission when she was in eighth-grade and her artwork has appeared in over 500 collections worldwide. For over 30 years, Ms. Miller ran a retail chain called Accent Arts which sold art supplies and provided framing services. She recently traveled to China and South America and her artwork is currently being exhibited in five galleries. For the last 20 years, she has been volunteering for the San Jose Museum of Art. She attributes her success to her persistence, passion for art and her ability to absorb all aspects of art.
Ms. Miller received her Bachelor of Arts from the California College of the Arts in 1952. She is a member of Oil Painters of America and the National League of American Pen Women. The recipient of First Place Awards in local art shows, she hopes to continue painting and receive more recognition for her artwork as well as participate in more museum shows.
