Prize for Embroidery

For the past 10 years, this prestigious international Prize for Embroidery has attracted students of embroidery, design, arts, surface textiles, costume, interiors, fashion and textiles throughout the world.

LONDON, UK, September 11, 2009 /Hobby and Crafts PR News/ -- For the past 10 years, this prestigious international Prize for Embroidery has attracted students of embroidery, design, arts, surface textiles, costume, interiors, fashion and textiles throughout the world.

The aim is to promote the use of hand embroidered surface embellishment within fashion, costume and soft furnishing. All in the hope that contemporary design and other fresh approaches will be inspired to embrace hand embroidery and to acknowledge and value its quality and expertise.
For the first time this year, the Hand & Lock Prize for Embroidery has also included an open category for embroiderers from all backgrounds opening up the Prize to hobbyists and professionals, not currently in education.
